Bad headache all day.  Went to Sunday school and as it was our class day I read a piece.  Also went to service and to lecture on the Baptists in our church in the eve.

Blacksmithing again.  Worked on a new farm wagon all day.  I have felt pretty tame today.  If I was home I wouldn’t work ‘tall.  I feel better than I do new.  My throat is pretty sore tonight.  I got a letter from home last night.  All right.

I didn’t feel very smart so I didn’t go to work.  It has stormed all day.  I have got another of my sore throats and [kind of] played out generally.  Try to work tomorrow.

Blacksmithing again.  Our new drill came today so Sara and I set it up, I doing the bossing of course.  I don’t feel very bright tonight.  If I don’t feel any better tomorrow I shan’t work.

Blacksmithing again.  Worked welding axles a good part of the day.  It is raining now pretty hard.  I go to bed pretty early tonight.

Blacksmithing again.  On old springs and a new butcher wagon body.  It has been very warm and pleasant today with the snow pretty deep all round.  Went to a temperance lecture in the Baptist church by Mr. S. and wife.  Pretty good.

Blacksmithing again.  On a new butcher wagon body.  Done two other small jobs on two old sleighs.  There has been some powerful shoveling of snow done today.  I shoveled till 8 o’clock.  The trains didn’t run on time at all today.

One of the most severe storms is raging tonight and all day that I ever saw.  I went in the Baptist church on a stump but there was no services at our church at all today.  I wrote a letter home.  I have been laying round and eating and sleeping all the rest of the day.

Blacksmithing again.  Did several jobs and then went to making step pads and worked on them about all the rest of the day.  Went to a church meeting in the eve.

Blacksmithing again.  Finished our big wagon.  Went to a small party up to Sarah & Bullard’s.  Got home at nine and a half.  Wrote a letter to Sara Darling.
