Blacksmithing again, worked on the running part of an express wagon. Went to the singing school in the eve and wrote a new year’s letter to Sara.

Blacksmithing again, finished ironing our express body, being about eleven hours in it. Went down to Jessi’s in the eve and had a game of cards.
Blacksmithing again, finished the running part of our stock wagon and began an express body. Got a letter from home, they are all well, didn’t write last week on accord of being very busy.
Blacksmithing again, worked on our stock wagon all day. It has stormed all day. We didn’t have any Lodge tonight on account of Lawrence’s wife being sick. Read Gates Ajar in the evening. Got a letter from Simon and Sara.
Blacksmithing again, worked all day on our stock wagon. Went to the singing school in the eve and bought a singing book. Haven’t got a letter from home for most two weeks.
Rained hard all day, went to church and sunday school. Mr. Jones preached from [Westcensire ]. Went down to Jessi’s and spent the eve. Got treated to corn balls and apples.
Blacksmithing as usual, worked on Dyer’s skeleton buggy and finished it and put on a set of tires for a new stock wagon. In the eve, I went to town to Jessi’s and from there to E. Masons. The North End girls were there and the two Baldwin girls and we had a nice dance.
