Blacksmithing again.  My helper came today.  I kept him cutting threads most all day.  I’ve begun on a batch of tires.  Went to a lecture by Carlton.  Chanced to pick up L. Clifford and went with her.

Blacksmithing again.  Till three o’clock I was alone in my room.  My [?] was off on account of the decorating day which we celebrated in the afternoon.  Had a splendid time.  The Lodge met after the Post got through with the hall, which they did about half past eight.  Got a letter from Sara darling.

Attended church and Sunday school.  Took care of my body, book, and wrote a letter home.  Took a short walk with Bullard, then went to a temperance meeting and called into Mr. Wiggins.

Blacksmithing again.  Worked on jobs all day.  Fixed a job wagon for Eaton for one thing.  Got a letter from Sara.  Attended lecture upon phrenology and I was examined in public.  He told a good many thing which I didn’t know.  They got into a spirited argument upon religion.

Blacksmithing.  Jobed, jobed, and jobed all day.  Did a little of everything.  Went down to the river and had a little bath with the crowd.  Choir in the eve.

Blacksmithing again.  Rigged out an old carriage and put on a new set of tires in the P.M.  Called to see Mrs. Mead in the eve.

Blacksmithing.  Repaired two bread carriages and set two tires.  Began on an old trap.  Got a letter from home with a photograph of Lydia.  Went to [C. Burns’] concert in the eve.
